Goose Island Summertime

I love a good summertime ale. It needs to be light and refreshing, and transport me to either a beach, or at least a summertime BBQ. Believe it or not, I really do enjoy a good summertime ale. Goose Island's offering started out pretty good. It certainly looked light and refreshing and I really looked forward to it. Here's what the website had to say:

REVIEW:

I have to say...Goose Island fell a bit flat. I was expecting a bit more out of it. You can certainly taste the fruit and it certainly isn't as heavy as other offerings in the summertime brewing category, but I think that's where it misses the mark...it just comes off as too light. This is probably a better brew for you if you have to bring the mandatory six-pack to the bosses picnic. That way, you still look original, but you won't shock anyone with taste.
