Oktoberfest, Cape Vincent, NY - 17 September 2011

Oh how I look forward to fall. The leaves changing colors on the trees, the mornings getting just a little bit colder...and Oktoberfest...everywhere. This weekend, my wife and I headed out to Cape Vincent, NY to partake in their 4th Annual celebration of all that is German, including the beer.

Although Cape Vincent is what you might call a small town in Northern New York, the people here sure know how to do it up big for this yearly tradition. The price was right, with a $15 admission getting you a souvenir sample mug and free tickets for the beer. They gave you way more tickets than you can drink beer though. The food was fantastic, and there was a Bavarian Oktoberfest Band to keep the vibe going.

The beers on tap:

Leinenkugel's Oktoberfest
Roc Golden Pale Ale
Yuengling Oktoberfest
Sam Adams Oktoberfest
Saranac Pumpkin Ale

And others...reviews to follow

What can...one of the last beautiful days in Northern New York and a great festival to lift the spirits. We had a great time.
