American Lung Association Gears Up for 4th Annual Country Club Classic - Local Breweries Confirmed for Tasting for Lung Health
WHAT: In its fourth year, The Country Club Classic takes a new twist on two of America’s favorite pastimes: golf and beer. Participants will throw on their best golf attire for a friendly beer tasting with a golf theme (there is no actual golf involved). At each “hole” participants will blindly sample three beers from one of Colorado’s finest breweries and attempt to match the beer they tasted with one of the options provided. For every incorrect guess, they will acquire a stroke.
Whether a PGA frequenter, a beer connoisseur or simply someone that likes to sample some of Colorado’s finest ales, The Country Club Classic offers something for everyone. Along with the tasting, there will be entertainment, food and a silent auction. All proceeds from the evening will benefit the American Lung Association in Colorado.
Please Note: This is a beer tasting with a golf theme - no actual golf is involved!! The first 100 registrants are $30, $35 thereafter and $40 at the door. VIP registration is also available for $60.
WHEN: Friday, June 15th from 7:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.
WHERE: Casselman’s Bar & Venue, located at 2620 Walnut St., Denver, CO 80205
WHY: As the oldest voluntary health organization in the United States, the American Lung Association in Colorado works day in and day out to prevent lung disease and promote lung health in all forms. Tobacco use kills more people than alcohol, drugs, homicide, suicide, car accidents, fires, and AIDS combined. The air we breathe, indoors and out, has a profound impact on our lung health without many of us even knowing it. There are more than 100,000 children in Colorado living with asthma and more than one in four Colorado families are affected by the disease. Breathing is something many don’t think about often but for more than 30 million Americans, every breath is a struggle due to lung disease.
PARTNERS: The nine participating breweries in this year’s event are Del Norte, Hops Grillhouse & Brewing, Upslope Brewing Company, Twisted Pine Brewing Company, Bristol Brewing Company, Elk Mountain Brewing, AC Golden Brewing Company, Strange Brewing Company, and Rockyard Brewing Company. Garbanzo’s Mediterranean Grill and Noodles & Company will be providing the food and The Vineyard Club will offer a “hole” with wine.
