SF Beer Week 2013 Update: New Events Posted for Beer Revolution and La Trappe Cafe

Over the past few days, La Trappe Cafe in San Francisco and Beer Revolution in Oakland announced several events taking place during SFBW 2013, a celebration of craft beer beginning Friday, February 8th, through Sunday, February 17th.

Here is a link to La Trappe Cafe’s events (which are also now listed on the SFBW 2013 Official Schedule).  Events include the opportunity be among the first in San Francisco to taste the Elysian / New Belgium Collaboration “Trip 15″ (which I think is actually “Trip XV”, the 15th beer in a series of collaborations between the two breweries) and 15 different Zymatores on draft! Depending on the event, you may need to purchase tickets in advance. See the link above for further details.

Saturday - February 9th – 2pm – Brewrepublic & Beer Revolution Present: Wine Barrel-Aged Tastival - Two of Mother Nature’s most delicious offerings, hops and grapes, combine for an event that will have you wanting to drink your beer with your pinky out. BREWPUBLIC are hosting the Bay Area’s first ever, wine barrel-aged Beer Tastival. This collision of awesome will be occurring at Oakland’s Beer Revolution on Saturday, February 9th beginning at 2 p.m. No tickets, just a tap takeover of local Bay Area and Oregon craft brews that have been aged in wine barrels. Organizers BREWPUBLIC and Kim of KimBayBrews will be pouring this liquid nirvana. Some breweries featuring special brews for this event include Bear Republic, The Commons, Drake’s, Pacific Brewing Laboratory, Ale Industries, Upright, Lompoc, and much more. Quit whining and enjoy wine barrel aged craft beer!

Sunday – February 10th, 2pm – Sierra Nevada Tap Wrecking Party - Sierra Nevada return to Beer Revolution, with a mission. To dominate and hold lordship over each and every one of our taps! All 48 of our taps will be wholly owned and maintained in a beery grasp by Sierra Nevada!. Drafts to include… various years of Bigfoot, Barrel Aged Bigfoot, Ovila BA Quad, Ovila BA Dubbel, 2×4, Hop Secret 444, On The Rocks (scotch ale) and many other rarities! See draft list here.

Monday – February 11th, 6pm – Meet the Brewer with Green Flash! - Join us as we welcome Chuck Silva and the gang from Green Flash Brewing! Chuck has promised to bring along some rare goodies for a night of fun and the sun…ok, maybe no sun…but there will be fun! And beer. Yummy delicious beer!

Monday – February 11th, 6pm – Meet the Brewer with Heretic! - Almost hard to believe its been less then a year since Heretic bounded onto the local scene! We are very happy to announce the return of Jamil, Warren and the Heretic gang to Beer Rev! Lets give them a warm reception and wish them bacchus-spped on opening their new brewery in Fairfield! Be A Heretic, don’t drink ordinary beer!

Monday – February 11th, 7pm – Meet the Brewer with Marin! - It just wouldn’t be SF Beer week at Beer Rev without Marin Brewing! So, we happily welcome Arne and crew back to our lil shop for a night of beery goodness.

Tuesday -February 12th, 3pm – Say LAH-GOO-KNEE-TUSS! - Lagunitas is coming! Lagunitas is coming! Lagunitas is coming! Lagunitas is coming! Lagunitas is coming! We think that pretty much sez it all. Everyones fav-or-ite brewery from the chicken capitol that is Petaluma will be swinging on down today, and bringing a heapin helpin of awesome beers! Expect a whole slew of barrel aged goodness and more!

Tuesday -February 12th, 6pm – This is the East Bay, not SF! - SF Beer Week? phshaw…. This is the East Bay…. Come on down as we show ‘em how we do on the right side of the Bay! Featuring High Water, Triple Rock, Drakes, Ale Industries, Altamont and More!!!

Wednesday – February 13th, 5pm – Speakeasy Brewing and Scream sorbet - Speakeasy Brewery and Scream Sorbet are pairing up again to bring you a unique menu of delicious beer and sorbet treats! Scream Sorbet will be dishing out a selection of delicious treats made with Speakeasy Brews!

Wednesday – February 13th, 6pm – Meet the Brewer with Hangar 24

Friday – February 15th, 6-9pm – Band of Gypsies - Meet and drink with the brewers from the Band of Gypsies Collaboration Beer Project at Beer Revolution on Friday, February 15th from 6-9pm. Be among the first in the world to taste The Belgian Tramp collaboration beer. Various craft beers from each individual brewery will also be on tap, so come thirsty!
